Crafting Dreams into Reality Empowering Women in Artificial Jewel Making

In April 2015, Village Development Centre (VDC) embarked on a journey to empower women in the art of "Artificial Jewel Making" at Manachanallur. This skill training program aimed not only to impart valuable skills but also to ignite the spark of entrepreneurship among the women of our community.

A Dignified Inauguration

The training program received an honourable inauguration by Mr. S. Suresh Kumar, Assistant General Manager of NABARD, Tiruchirappalli, and Mr.Prabhakaran, Lead District Manager. Their presence and support symbolized the significance of this endeavour.

Empowering Women from 5 Villages

This initiative attracted 30 enthusiastic women from five different villages, all eager to learn the art of artificial jewel making. Their diversity and determination were the building blocks of a vibrant and supportive learning environment.]

Expert Guidance from Mrs. T. LilllyPrabha

The training was facilitated by Mrs. T. LilllyPrabha, a skilled artisan with expertise in the art of jewel making. Her guidance and mentorship were instrumental in nurturing the talents of the participants.

VDC ensured that the women had access to the necessary training materials, making the learning process seamless and effective.

Igniting Entrepreneurial Ventures

The training not only equipped these women with a valuable skill but also ignited their entrepreneurial spirit. They were now empowered to establish their ventures in the field of artificial jewel making.
